Adoption

The majority of our animals come from Owner surrender, animal control shelters, and other rescues. We are committed to providing the dogs that come into Dachshund Seeking Forever Homes Rescue with the best possible care while they wait for their forever homes by providing love, socialization, and the appropriate veterinary care needed.

All of our dogs are...

• Fully Vetted

• Dewormed

• Heartworm Tested

• Treated with flea and heartworm prevention

• Spayed or neutered if needed

• Receive Rabies, Bordetella DA2PPV and 2 to 3 weeks later booster unless you adopt before the booster is due.

Dental is only done if medically necessary, and you will be informed if needed and or was completed.

Adoption Process

1.  Pet Verification

    - Veterinary or two personal references  

2.  Home Verification
   - Verify that your home, apartment, or place of dwelling allows pets 

3.  Home Check
   -Will need an in-person home check or video evidence 

4. Meet and Greet

5. Payment
   -Cash, Paypal, or Credit Card
